Japan special until 15 November 2011: donate to Japan with every 7th invoice

Donate to Japan

Although the catastrophe in Japan occurred several months ago and the media have since turned their attention to other world events, Japan is still a long way from returning to normal. Since we are in constant contact with Japanese colleagues who have been directly or indirectly affected by the disaster, we went in search of a way to help the people of Japan and keep them in our thoughts. With our ‘Japan special’ campaign, which will run until 15 November, we want to raise awareness of the situation in Japan and help the people affected as much as we possibly can.

The first promotion starts now: until 15 November, we will include a ‘We pray for Japan’ bracelet purchased from Lady Gaga’s online shop with every 7th invoice we send out. With a little luck, you’ll win a stylish accessory while helping others in need. The red and white bracelet costs 5 dollars (3.50 euros), much of which (purchase price minus taxes and shipping) will go to help Japan, according to the singer.

Why every 7th invoice? In Japan, the numbers 3, 5 and 7 are lucky. Like every year, Japanese families will celebrate the ‘Shichi-Go-San’ festival on 15 November 2011: parents will take their seven- and three-year-old girls and five- and three-year-old boys to visit a Shinto shrine in order to give thanks for the children’s health and prosperity.

We hope you’ll enjoy the wide range of promotions we’ve got coming up as part of our ‘Japan special’ campaign and that you’ll keep Japan in your thoughts.
