Textklinik hikes the Rheinsteig
Up, down. 13.5 km of it. This year’s team event took some legwork.
For Textklinik’s 15th anniversary we donned stylish bowling shoes, but last Saturday, 29 June 2013, we laced up the sturdy hiking boots.
The hike started at about 11 a.m. in Nachtigallental near the town of Königswinter. After a break in the Winzerhäuschen pub we continued uphill to the Drachenfels – ‘Dragon’s Rock’ – where we were rewarded with a sensational view of the Rhine and lots of good photographs. Then we went on to the Milchhäuschen restaurant, where we had another break, before continuing back to Königswinter. From there we took the train back to Düsseldorf.
It was a great outing – a little strenuous, but well worth the effort.
