Winter Olympics in Sochi 2014
On 7 February, the Olympic Winter Games kicked off in the Russian city of Sochi. For about two weeks, winter athletes from around the world are contending for the bronze, silver and gold in disciplines such as biathlon, curling or figure skating.
In the run-up to the games, harsh criticism was levelled at the Russian regime, and many international officials declined to attend the games. However, while the accusations may have been justified, we have to remember that boycotting the games primarily hurts the athletes. In any case, we here at Textklinik are following the Olympic Winter Games very closely, and we’re excited to see just how many medals our German athletes will bring home this year.
By the way: If you want your Russian-language texts to shine like Olympic gold, or if you hope to score points with a winning translation into Russian, you’re in the right hands with us!
